UN Peacekeepers and Terrorism

UN peacekeeping is the standard response to preventing violence after some sort of peace negotiation or settlement. This was developed when most wars were between two well-defined entities, and there was at least some kind of front line. But what about when a country is plagued more by terrorism than by conventional military threats? How can peacekeepers help then? This article examines the issue, focusing on the recent troubles faced by ANISOM in Somalia.
