Election Watch: Kenya

Kenya has a presidential election coming up on August 8, which is worth paying attention to. Memories of the massive violence that shook the country following the 2007 election cycle are still near at hand, especially on the “front lines” where the two main tribes live side by side. Technology is working both for and against free and fair elections, and even with the hundreds of monitors on the ground, this one (between the same two candidates) will be tense and violence may have already begun.
