Dark Days in the Middle East

The Middle East has a myriad of problems, civil wars and ISIS being perhaps the most headline-grabbing. One of the most widespread problems, however, is much more mundane but potentially much more important: a lack of electricity. Corruption, low oil prices, violence, and general economic issues mean that for many once prospering places in the region, electricity is now a scare commodity, affecting much of day to day life and the institutions needed for a stable society.
