Vaccination Progress in Africa

Although the long-standing assumption is that the West has better health compliance and mass-health campaigns then the developing world, especially Africa, in one particular area, this may no longer be true: vaccinations. These mass vaccinations campaigns were created and initiated in the developed world, and then required in the developing world despite a lack of logistical ability at the beginning. And yet today, as memories of the horrors of these diseases fade and skepticism of “Big Pharma” increases, many of the poorest countries in Africa have higher vaccination rates than parts of Europe and the United States. Thus, although the measles is making a comeback, the outbreaks are in California, not the Congo.
